The Creative Crate shares a versatile necklace craft (could be used for keychains as well).  The technique could be used to create pendants featuring virtues, scripture, images of saints, etc.

Decoder Hearts

Lacy's Decoder hearts remind me of a favorite childhood toy... soooo clever!

Ideas for Little Flowers:
(Love of God, Love of Neighbor)
  • write the memory verse, another scripture, or an appropriate quote as the secret message
  • compose a love letter to Our Heavenly Father for Love of God
  • For Love of Neighbor, jot down a message of love to be given to a neighbor (friend, family, or even a stranger in need of encouragement).
  • fun get well wishes for children's hospital patients

Paper Lilies

Family Fun's paper lilies are lovely for older girls, or a small group of younger flowers (with mama help!)

See their version of handprint lilies as well (their time estimate is an hour- I'm thinking with pre-cut leaves, it should take much less time...)
See the Christian version on Thrifty Fun.

Tissue Poppies

Make and Takes shares tissue posies perfect for precious poppies.
Oriental Trading offers a craft kit which includes the following poem:
“When you see this red flower, it is called a Poppy. Remember those who fought and died for our country. Remember their sacrifice, it is their lives that they gave. It is because of them we are known as Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.”.

Please see this Arlington Cemetery link for the significance of the poppy and loyalty.
